Rack Type Cutters

Dathan supply a wide range of rack type cutters for both the Maag and Sunderland gear cutting machines. These are available for both spur and helical gears of 1DP (25 Module) and finer.

Helical rack type cutters can be produced when a spur cutter cannot be used to generate a helical gear or for continuous double helical gears.

We manufacture tools in ASP 2023 high-speed steel as standard, but can also make tools in any of the tougher materials, such as ASP 2030, when required.
